Module 1 - Introduction to Equine Osteopathy and the Front Limb

Content:  History of osteopathy and equine osteopathy | Definition and concept of equine osteopathy: the principles of osteopathy; concept of  the osteopathic lesion or disorder; explanation of the “gamma loop” | Structural anatomy of the front limb | Biomechanics, examination and osteopathic treating techniques:  the scapulae thoracic junction; the scapulo humeral joint; the art. cubiti.; the carpus and metacarpus | Explanation and classification of the osteopathic techniques: Fascial techniques; Strain- counter strain techniques; Listening techniques; Normalization techniques

Wet lab:  Practical explanation and ext ended exercising of the biomechanics | Examination and osteopathic treating techniques of the front limb
