All veterinarians, equine osteopaths, farriers and equine enthusiasts are invited to participate in the third annual osteopathic trimming clinic presented by The Vluggen Institute for Equine Osteopathy and Education. Participants will learn advanced techniques of proper hoof balance based on osteopathic theory from Janek Vluggen, DO, MRO, EDO, founder and principal instructor of the Vluggen Institute, and Don MacKenzie, Master Farrier from Alberta, Canada. Some basic hoof anatomy and trimming techniques will be covered; however participants are encouraged to have a working knowledge of the equine hoof and its care.
What exactly is Osteopathic Trimming?
